American University's Kogod School of Business now offers a full undergraduate major in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, one of the first business schools nationally to pair an AI major with a minor open to any student.
Beyond Kogod, undergrads across campus can earn a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Ethics and Society through the Philosophy and Religion Department, work on faculty-mentored AI research through the Hedayat and Google Student AI Research Award, and access GPU computing through the Lovelace HPC cluster. Industry partnerships with Perplexity and LinkedIn bring real-world AI tools and case competitions into the classroom. The one gap worth watching: AI tool access remains school-level rather than campus-wide, and AU has yet to name a dedicated university-level AI executive the way several peer institutions already have.
