Babson College
MA · AI Readiness #109 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 7.2 /10
Babson built its own AI platform from scratch, the Babson AI Console, giving every undergraduate access to Student Agents, Course Agents, and custom LLM apps through a university-designed system that goes well beyond a standard software license.
Babson undergrads engage with AI in their very first semester, with the Prototype-It! Bot embedded in the required Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship program serving all 650-plus incoming students. The Generator, an interdisciplinary AI lab launched in October 2024 under the Metropoulos Institute, runs student-facing programming including an annual Buildathon that drew 220-plus students from 12 universities in 2025. THere is no confirmed undergraduate AI major, concentration, or certificate yet available, which peers at larger business-focused schools have already begun to offer.
