AIREDEX™ Score: 6.1 /10
Connecticut College launched AI@Conn in fall 2024, a bequest-funded, three-year initiative that gives every student access to BoodleBox, Google Gemini, and NotebookLM, led by a full-time AI Fellow who offers course redesign stipends, faculty workshops, and a student AI literacy program.
Conn undergrads also benefit from the college's participation in Connecticut's Tech Talent Accelerator 3.0, a state-funded program integrating applied AI skills directly into credit-bearing accounting and entrepreneurship courses serving up to 75 students. The Autonomous Agent Learning Lab, directed by Professor Gary Parker, gives undergrads hands-on AI and robotics research experience, with roughly 20 students working on two dozen active projects at any given time. As a founding member of the Connecticut AI Alliance alongside Yale and Wesleyan, Connecticut College is woven into a statewide AI ecosystem that is still taking shape.
