Georgetown University
DC · AI Readiness #63 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 8.1 /10
Georgetown undergraduates have interesting opportunities in AI beyond the nine-credit AI certificate; they can apply for a hands-on AI healthcare research internship, and take named AI ethics courses in philosophy, law, and public policy.
Georgetown funds four named AI research centers spanning security policy, healthcare, government affairs, and business, each led by a named director already running active projects. Complementing that, the Initiative on Pedagogical AI, co-led by Randy Bass and Eddie Maloney, has funded more than 50 interdisciplinary projects involving faculty and students. Undergraduates can also compete for the AIDC Community Fellowship, a $10,000 stipend supporting AI-focused work. As Georgetown's new AI certificate and expanding course catalog continue rolling out through Fall 2026, students are positioned to gain even deeper hands-on AI exposure across every school.
