Hamilton College
NY · AI Readiness #194 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 5.2 /10
Hamilton College gives every student privacy-protected access to multiple leading AI models through its self-hosted Amplify platform, supplemented by Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and Adobe Firefly, making a meaningful suite of AI tools available throughout the school.
Hamilton offers hands-on workshops like 'Mastering AI Prompts' and a catalog course in the politics of AI, while the faculty-led Lighthouse Fellows program, under the supervision of the president and provost, is weaving AI into History, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and Mathematics. A $50 million innovation center opening in 2027 could sharpen the picture considerably, but for now Hamilton has no AI certificate and no AI industry partnerships, leaving it behind some small liberal arts peers that have already made strides in these areas.
