Johns Hopkins University

AIREDEX™ Score: 6.9 /10
Johns Hopkins undergraduates get free access to HopGPT, a Hopkins-built AI platform supporting multiple models including ChatGPT and Claude, alongside a standalone Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Automation course open across both engineering and arts and sciences.
Rising Johns Hopkins juniors and seniors can also apply for the paid DSAI Summer Internship, a ten-week, faculty-led AI research experience with a $10,000 stipend, and research-track students can tap the Rockfish high-performance computing cluster for machine learning work. The GenAI@JHU hub centralizes tool guidance and training for the whole university. Hopkins has not yet launched a standalone undergraduate AI major or minor, or named a university-wide AI executive, the way some peer institutions already have.
