Lehigh University
PA · AI Readiness #89 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 7.5 /10
Lehigh is launching a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science in fall 2026, becoming one of the first private research universities in Pennsylvania to offer a standalone undergraduate AI degree.
Lehigh undergrads can obtain DataCamp certifications and Google Career Certificates through the Google AI for Education Accelerator partnership. Lehigh's Career and Professional Development Center's (CCPD) three-tier AI Ready pathway on LinkedIn Learning can then connect that AI-fluency to interview-ready credentials. The SMART faculty program has professors across all five colleges actively integrating AI into coursework, from journalism to engineering, so students graduate with tools their employers are already using. As the new BS in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science launches this fall, opening some of its coursework to non-majors would give students across campus, not just those in the major, potentially valuable access to a wealth of AI learning.
