Loyola University Chicago
IL · AI Readiness #159 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 5.9 /10
Loyola Chicago launched three undergraduate AI minors in 2025 and 2026, including an interdisciplinary option co-led by computer science and philosophy, giving students across every major a concrete, credit-bearing path into artificial intelligence.
Ramblers can choose from the Business of Applied Artificial Intelligence Minor at Quinlan, the technical Artificial Intelligence Minor in computer science, or the new Interdisciplinary AI and Human Flourishing Minor bridging computing and philosophy. The Lab for Applied Artificial Intelligence, drawing faculty from business, computer science, and health sciences, anchors hands-on undergraduate research opportunities and grant-funded projects. The Center for Digital Ethics and Policy, led by Florence Chee, runs an annual International Symposium on Digital Ethics, adding a Jesuit-inflected ethics dimension to the university's AI work.
