St. John's University-New York
NY · AI Readiness #174 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 5.6 /10
St. John's moved early on AI tools, but research infrastructure and AI leadership haven't caught up yet.
St. John's became one of Superhuman's first strategic education partners, piloting the platform in summer 2026 classes ahead of full fall rollout. Curriculum integration is genuine, with AI woven into computing, business, and healthcare informatics coursework, and Dr. Bukhari's NSF-funded lab brings real research credibility. The infrastructure hasn't caught up: no university-wide AI executive, no research compute cluster, and no AI-specific dollars despite an active $400 million campaign. The instincts are right; the supporting structure still needs to be built.
