Temple University
PA · AI Readiness #203 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 4.9 /10
Temple undergraduates can take PHIL 3228: Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, a standalone philosophy course open to all majors, and access the Owl's Nest HPC cluster's GPU nodes for computational research with faculty sponsorship.
Temple's DS-AI@Temple faculty network drew researchers from all 17 schools to its inaugural March 2026 symposium, and a $2.5 million gift to the College of Engineering has seeded new AI research capacity. Temple has not yet built a standalone undergraduate AI major, unlike Drexel's new B.S. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning launching this fall, or designated a university-wide AI executive, unlike Penn State's Vice Provost for Artificial Intelligence.
