AIREDEX™ Score: 7.3 /10
TCU backs a $10 million AI² computing platform built with Dell, AWS, and Microsoft, plus a named AI concentration in computer science and a cross-major AI certificate.
A cross-campus AI Task Force, chaired by Vice Provost Reuben Burch, has published a formal University AI Policy and usage guidelines within the past two years. A four-course Interdisciplinary AI Certificate, open to any major, launches fall 2026 alongside a standalone ethics course in the liberal arts college. The Neeley School's AI Forward initiative connects students to advisory board members from Dell, Gartner, and EY, while the NextGen AI Lab pursues trustworthy AI and healthcare research with TCU Nursing and Children's Hospital. As TCU works toward Research One status, naming a dedicated AI ethics lead is a logical next step.
