University of Nevada-Las Vegas
NV · AI Readiness #149 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 6.1 /10
UNLV's Rebel AI Initiative, launched at the presidential level in fall 2025, gives undergraduates a free AI Literacy Badge and a Minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence open to students across all majors.
Rebels also get access to Google Gemini through their Rebelmail accounts and can use the RebelX GPU cluster, a 48-GPU system built around NVIDIA A100s, for hands-on computing work. The university's AiR Hub, directed by Kasra Ghaharian, partners with gaming and technology companies including Aristocrat, KPMG, and Playtech, and published its first State of AI in Gaming report in 2025. What's still missing is a standalone undergraduate AI major; for now, the minor is the closest path to a formal AI credential.
