UT · AI Readiness #185 of 227
AIREDEX™ Score: 5.4 /10
Utah State launched the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Center in January 2025 under director Kevin Moon, drawing on five founding departments, and is developing an AI Engineering degree track inside the new School of Computing for fall 2025.
Aggies can pursue AI credentials across disciplines through the Machine Learning and AI Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and the nine-credit AI and Writing Certificate offered through the English Department, both open to students from any major. A March 2025 NVIDIA MOU adds access to Deep Learning Institute certifications as an industry credential. Students currently reach GPU resources through the University of Utah's shared statewide infrastructure instead of housing their own resource.
